Supervisor Grant along with Council Members Mohun, Frounick and Gadd audited the Highway, General Fund and Special District claims. Supervisor Grant reported she received an e-mail from the Cowlesville Fire Company requesting a large map of the Cowlesville Water District. She can procure 4 maps (26” x 34”) from Chatfield for $1400. Short discussion held. Councilman Gadd noted that the Town Hall has been power washed, took more time than they anticipated. Soffit has also been repaired, need to do the stone work and the siding. Supervisor Grant reported that they also checked for the lettering under the siding above the steps. No lettering there, they can get letters to replace the lettering that was there for under $200 and were told to go ahead and get them.
Supervisor Grant called the meeting to order and asked Council Member Mohun to lead the pledge to the flag. Present were Council Members Mohun, Frounick and Gadd (Councilman George excused –sick). Also present was Highway Superintendent Czworka.

Council Member Mohun questioned the appointment of Mr. Wojcik
as Town Prosecutor since he’s been appointed as the Wyoming County Attorney,
could this be a conflict of interest. Short discussion held. Supervisor Grant
will inquire. Motion made by Frounick/Mohun to
approve the above town appointments for 2012, voting all ayes, carried.
Short discussion also held on
the Zoning Officer/Zoning Deputy Officer positions. Will
invite both of them to the next month’s Work Session.
Councilman Frounick thought that the town had gotten rid of the Fire
Wardens since the County Emergency Service has
established the NIMS programs which eliminates the need for Fire
Wardens. After short discussion the Fire
Warden appointments eliminated from the list.
Supervisor Grant called the
Regular Meeting to order.
Minutes of the December 14th
and Dec. 28th meetings – Supervisor Grant asked if any amendments or
corrections. Council Member Mohun noted that on page 69, where it talks about the

that they are required to have on file by January of 2012. All Council Members were given a copy.
Supervisor Grant asked for a motion to table tonight to give Board Members a
chance to review it and will address at the February Board Meeting. Motion so
made by Frounick/Gadd, voting all ayes, carried.
Since there was no Old
Business or New Business – Supervisor Grant asked if anyone had anything else
to bring before the Board. Councilman Gadd asked Mr. Czworka if he had done anything on equipment. Mr. Czworka stated he hadn’t.
Mr. Gadd asked about towns going in on joint
purchases. Councilman Frounick doesn’t like that
idea, feels two towns buy a piece of equipment, one town uses it, breaks
something, doesn’t fix, the other town goes to use it, it’s broke, then a
hassle on the repair. He feels a better way to go is to have one town buy the
equipment, loan it to another town, that way the town that owns the equipment
will have their man operating it in the town they loaned it to. Then the same
person is always operating that equipment. Short discussion held on equipment.
Noted that now is the time to consider purchasing, upgrade, lead times etc. in procuring
equipment, new pricing vs. used etc.
Copier Maintenance Agreement
for the Kocerta copier – Last month tabled, clerk
received an e-mail from Eagle Systems stating that copiers/electronic devices
are only warranted for 90 days. After a short discussion, a motion was made by Mohun/Frounick to approve the Agreement with Eagle Systems
for the Kocerta Copystar
copier for $395 for 2012 which includes travel, labor, parts, drum and toner. Voting all ayes, carried.
Councilman Gadd asked if town needs an agreement for the Toshiba copies
which we are still using. Short discussion held, clerk will get an estimate and
have for the February meeting.
Councilman Frounick asked about maintenance work – any plans on
getting like Parking lot, roof (Rick mentioned) on the pavilion at the park etc.
Short discussion held. Everyone asked to write down/make a list of items they
see that need repair.
There being no further
business, a motion was made by Council Member Mohun
to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at
