The following is a brief summary of the
assessment activities for year 2006. The
Assessment process is a dynamic one with the assessment calendar beginning in
July, therefore some of the activities performed during the year 2006 actually
were attributed to roll years 2006 and 2007.

Verifications/Corrections: 217 parcels were reviewed, verified and corrected
either by right-of- way inspection, or confirmation with the homeowner.

The RPS system was
significantly upgraded and I purchased my own laptop to run the live file on
and gave my old computer to Kari which was an upgrade to what she had. Also installed a drawing software so that new construction can be added to version 4.
Started adding digital photos
to Version 4.
Successfully completed 60
credit hours of continuing Education, with 30 of those hours directly required
for the Town of Bennington. The other 30 credit hours were dedicated to working
towards a higher designation.
Meetings: Attended Legislative Action Day, Wyoming
County Assessors’ meetings when scheduling permitted, Rps version 4 user group meetings,
Pre-decisional collaborative meeting, settled a lawsuit with Verizon focused on
a minimal impact to the Town of
Bennington. Assisted in applying
the Water District on the roll.
